Ukraine: attacks on Vinnytsia, Poltava, Tereshky (18 October 2026)

A wave of Russian strikes across Ukraine on 18 October 2026 targeted civilian infrastructure and residential areas, according to officials. Attacks in Vinnytsia left the city without power. In Poltava, a drone strike killed one resident and injured four, while a separate strike in Tereshky caused no casualties. A ballistic missile hit Kharkiv, injuring four people. In Sloviansk, an aerial bombing partially destroyed two apartment blocks, killing one person and injuring ten. Guided bombs in Sumy killed one resident and injured at least two.
