Corrections

When a published story contained an error, we correct it and list it here. Routine updates (a toll that rises as rescuers work) are not corrections; they show in each story's update log and figure history. Spotted an error? Request a correction.

  1. 8 Oct 2026 · Other

Search ends at Pryluky block where Russian strike killed 22

On 8 October, for several hours, this story about the 7 October strikes on Pryluky and Kyiv was wrongly rewritten as a report on the separate Russian strike on buses in Kramatorsk. The original story was restored and Kramatorsk was published as its own story.

  2. 7 Oct 2026 · Fact

Search ends at Pryluky block where Russian strike killed 22

An earlier version said the 7 October attacks came the day after Vladimir Putin's birthday. They took place on his birthday, 7 October. The story and its FAQ were corrected.

How these figures are made: counts come straight from our publishing records. Sources are independent outlets per story; fact labels are set when a story is published or updated and can be corrected by editors; figure history records every casualty figure a story carried. See our editorial policy and how we rate sources.
